Takes me back to some gentle parlour playing with a very talented lady in the seventies, also on Fender Rhodes – the two instruments perfectly complement each other. Of course this is much more ‘techniquely’ advanced – the sax player is the famed Candy Dulfer, playing an Inderbinen alto (don’t even ask the price…), and the ’77 Fender Rhodes player is the equally talented Thomas Bank.
To quote YouTube – “Candy Dulfer and Thomas Bank playing ‘Everytime‘ on Dutch TV program ‘Wat Heet’. Recorded June 7th 2007 at Artis Zoo in Amsterdam.” There may just have been a little post-processing of the soundtrack – but I’ll guess there wasn’t much !
They look as though it’s fun – well, they do share life outside music – and what a setting… Doesn’t get much better – how I miss that Rhodes sound, they were a bugger to keep maintained, and a big lump to hump around – but well worth it !
